HoliHoff Plumbing — Terms & Conditions

HoliHoff Plumbing LLC

Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully. By approving an estimate, signing a contract, or authorizing work, you agree to the terms below.

1.Water Shutoffs & System Restoration

Water shutoffs may be required to complete plumbing work. Restoring water service can dislodge sediment, rust, mineral buildup, or other debris within existing plumbing systems. HoliHoff Plumbing LLC is not responsible for damage, malfunction, or failure of existing plumbing fixtures, appliances, valves, cartridges, filters, or other plumbing components that are outside the contracted scope of work and are affected by these pre-existing conditions after water service has been restored.

2.Gas Line Pressure Testing

Any permitted work involving the installation, relocation, modification, or replacement of gas piping will require pressure testing by HoliHoff Plumbing LLC, the applicable gas utility provider, and/or the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), as required. These tests typically evaluate the entire gas piping system, not solely the portion modified by HoliHoff Plumbing LLC. Any leaks or deficiencies discovered elsewhere within the gas system during required testing are considered pre-existing conditions and are the responsibility of the property owner and/or acting General Contractor. Repairs to those deficiencies are not included unless specifically listed within the project scope.

3.Removal & Reinstallation of Existing Fixtures

Existing plumbing fixtures removed for later reinstallation are considered customer-supplied fixtures upon reinstallation and are not covered under HoliHoff Plumbing LLC's workmanship warranty. Fixtures left disconnected or out of service for extended periods may dry out, deteriorate, seize, crack, or otherwise fail during or after reinstallation. Any malfunction resulting from these conditions is the responsibility of the property owner or acting General Contractor. HoliHoff Plumbing LLC will exercise reasonable care when removing fixtures designated for reinstallation and will document their condition when practical. However, because such fixtures are commonly moved, stored, or handled by others during construction, HoliHoff Plumbing LLC is not responsible for damage occurring after removal unless directly caused by our negligence.

4.Client-Supplied Fixtures & Materials

All client-supplied fixtures, trim, specialty parts, valves, appliances, and installation materials must be onsite and readily available prior to our scheduled arrival. If required materials are unavailable when our crew arrives, a return trip fee of no less than $175.00 will be assessed. Additional charges may apply depending on crew size, travel time, scheduling impacts, and lost production time.

5.Concrete Excavation & Slab Scans

When concrete excavation is required for plumbing reroutes or repairs, HoliHoff Plumbing LLC strongly recommends obtaining a professional slab scan prior to excavation. A slab scan identifies potential post-tension cables, water lines, sewer lines, electrical conduit, and other concealed utilities that cannot otherwise be located with certainty. If the property owner or acting General Contractor elects not to obtain a slab scan, they assume responsibility for any resulting damage to concealed utilities, post-tension cables, or other underground infrastructure whose locations could not reasonably have been identified before excavation. Scheduling and payment for slab scans are the responsibility of the property owner or acting General Contractor unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6.Jobsite Access & Trade Coordination

All pricing assumes HoliHoff Plumbing LLC will have safe, unobstructed access to the designated work area. If work is delayed or hindered by other trades, stored materials, equipment, debris, restricted access, or other jobsite conditions beyond our control, additional labor charges may be assessed to compensate for lost productivity, waiting time, return visits, or scheduling disruptions.

7.Fixture Specifications & Estimate Revisions

All fixture specifications must be provided before an estimate is considered final. If fixture selections have not been made at the time an estimate is requested, HoliHoff Plumbing LLC will prepare pricing based upon average installation requirements and industry-standard fixture assumptions. Changes to fixture selections after an estimate has been issued may result in revised pricing to account for differences in labor, installation complexity, required materials, or code requirements.

8.Material Pricing

Material pricing reflects current market costs at the time an estimate is prepared. Because most fixtures and materials are purchased immediately prior to installation, supplier price increases occurring after the estimate has been issued may be passed through to the client. HoliHoff Plumbing LLC does not warehouse fixtures or materials unless separate written arrangements have been made. If requested, HoliHoff Plumbing LLC may purchase materials in advance; in such cases, the client assumes responsibility for secure storage and protection of those materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9.Concealed Conditions

Estimates are based upon visible and reasonably accessible conditions at the time of inspection. Should concealed or unforeseen conditions be discovered, including but not limited to deteriorated piping, hidden leaks, structural deficiencies, code violations, inaccessible plumbing, improper previous installations, asbestos, mold, or other unforeseen site conditions, additional labor and/or materials may be required. Such work is outside the original scope and will require approval before proceeding.

10.Existing Code Violations

If existing plumbing or gas systems are found to be non-compliant with current building, plumbing, gas, or municipal codes, required corrections may be necessary before contracted work can continue. Correction of existing code violations is not included in the original estimate unless specifically stated.

11.Change Orders

Any work requested beyond the original agreed-upon scope, including owner-requested changes, unforeseen repairs, or additional installations, shall constitute a change order. Additional work may result in revised pricing and schedule adjustments. Whenever practical, client approval will be obtained before such work is performed.

12.Workmanship Warranty

Unless otherwise stated in writing, HoliHoff Plumbing LLC warrants its workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of substantial completion. This warranty applies solely to labor performed by HoliHoff Plumbing LLC. The warranty does not cover: customer-supplied fixtures, existing plumbing systems outside our scope, fixtures removed and later reinstalled, manufacturer defects, normal wear and tear, improper use or abuse, freezing, acts of God, damage caused by third parties, or work performed or modified by others after completion. Manufacturer warranties remain the responsibility of the respective manufacturers.

13.Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices are due upon receipt. Outstanding balances may incur interest or late fees at the maximum rate permitted under applicable Texas law. HoliHoff Plumbing LLC reserves the right to suspend work on any project with unpaid balances until payment has been received.

14.Delays Beyond Our Control

HoliHoff Plumbing LLC is not responsible for delays caused by weather, permitting agencies, utility providers, municipal inspections, supply shortages, manufacturer delays, acts of God, labor disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Project schedules may be adjusted accordingly.

15.Documentation

HoliHoff Plumbing LLC may photograph or video the work area before, during, and after construction for documentation, quality control, warranty verification, permitting, insurance, and dispute resolution purposes. Such documentation will not intentionally disclose confidential personal information unrelated to the project.

16.Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HoliHoff Plumbing LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from services performed under this agreement. Nothing contained herein shall limit liability for damages resulting directly from HoliHoff Plumbing LLC's gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other liability that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

17.Acceptance

By approving an estimate, signing a contract, issuing a purchase order, making payment, or authorizing HoliHoff Plumbing LLC to begin work, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
